GMT clock, the Origin of all Time Zones in the World
Greenwich Mean Time or GMT clock is a World Time. It is where every world time zone is based. It sets the time of day and is located at the middle of the time zone map.
GMT is also called Greenwich Meridian Time. The Greenwich Meridian Line located at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, England is the venue where all the time zones are measured. It is the home of GMT since 1884.
The GMT clock sets the current or official time around the globe. Also, most time changes are measured by GMT. Although, UTC or atomic time already replaced GMT, the latter is still commonly regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.
GMT also reflects precision and military time which is sometimes called Zulu time. In order to maintain the synchronicity with GMT, the atomic time clock was adjusted by leap seconds.
There are a lot of GMT clock downloads in the net. Some uses it as a desktop clock as guide to the different world time zones. Having your own GMT clock is very useful. With this, you can easily identify the living conditions and current activity of a certain country which is important because it will guide you find the right time in communicating with other people from different parts of the globe.
